Lindauer Protest: Referee error could decide ice hockey game!
Deggendorf, Deutschland - The ice hockey world is head! Immediately after the gripping duel between the EV Lindau Islanders and the Deggendorfer SC, the Islanders triggered a real uprising by officially taking protest against the evaluation of the game. The reason? A controversial referee decision that cannot leave the Inselstadt cold. In the crucial game phase at 16:38 minutes, when the status was 1-1, a clear penalty for the Islanders, caused by a defense lawyer in the goal area, was withdrawn after a disputed video evidence check.
rule breaks and wrong decisions
The Islanders agree: this decision violates the implementation regulations. "We have long considered whether we should take this step. But the way the referees dealt with us and the pressure that the referee observer exercised on us has convinced us to set an example," said sporting director Milo Markovic. In view of the end result of 6: 5, the question arises whether this decision was decisive. In addition, two other serious wrong decisions against the Islanders were documented, including a clear offside at the goal for 5: 2 and a dangerous action with a high floor, which would have had to secure a double overnight output.
"Respect is challenged by our players and the trainer, but we also expect this right if we are so clearly disadvantaged. It is crucial that rules and provisions are used correctly to maintain the integrity of the competition," says Markovic Vehement. In the ice hockey stronghold, it is time to show flag and fight for justice!
