At the latest citizens' meeting, to which Mayor Markus Hertlein had invited the citizens, a shocking overview of the financial situation of the municipality was presented. Around 50 citizens and almost all municipal councils gathered in the sports restaurant to hear the alarming numbers. The municipality's debt has reached the dizzying amount of 7.08 million euros - a clear wake -up call for everyone!
The focus of the meeting was the large construction projects that will shape talles in the coming years. The new building of the children's house in Hilgertshausen has already been completed, while the sewage treatment plant is about to be completed. These ambitious projects drive the total household to a volume of 15.7 million euros! The asset budget amounts to 8.4 million euros, while the administrative budget is 7.3 million euros. The main finance sources? The income tax with almost three million euros and trade tax with 1.19 million euros. But the key allocations are falling, which also exacerbates the situation!

The investments for the children's home with school childcare amount to 2.8 million euros for 2024, with a total investment of around 9 million euros. The sewer renovation and the expansion of the kindergarten are also on the agenda. Mayor Hertlein emphasized the importance of these projects and the need to master the financial challenges. The sewage treatment plant is built by the local company and the maximum funding amount for the rain overflow basin is requested.
