Sparkasse Berchtesgadener Land donates 14,000 euros for beekeepers!

Berchtesgadener Land, Deutschland - A spectacular anniversary was duly celebrated! For the celebration of "100 years of the World Party" and "20 years of Sparkassen-Bürgerstiftung Berchtesgadener Land" there was an impressive donation of 14,000 euros for the eight beekeeping associations of the district. Helmut Grundner, the CEO, presented this generous financial injection with pride and emphasized the close cooperation with the beekeepers, which has existed since the start of the Sparkasse bee project in 2019. This project, which was launched thanks to Stefan Ammon, the district chairman of the beekeepers, is aimed at promoting biodiversity and protecting the local bee population.

a honey project with heart

The Sparkasse now looks after 14 bee colonies that are cherished by the beekeeping clubs. Grundner drew an impressive parallel between saving and the diligence of the bees: "The bees collect hard during the flowering period and create supplies for winter. Likewise, saving shows how important it is to make sure for the future in good times." This connection between nature and finance underlines the importance of the project, which not only supports the honey market, but also raises awareness of ecological topics.

The eight beekeeping clubs, including the beekeeping association Bad Reichenhall and the surrounding area, and the bee friends "under the Watzmann", were duly appreciated when the donation was handed over. "Around 750,000 employees work for us as part of the bee project," made Grundner smiled, "but they are of little interest in financial matters. They are chosen for honey." In order to spoil the guests of the anniversary event, everyone received a glass of delicious regional honey as a personal gift. A truly sweet conclusion for a special occasion!
