Geothermal project in Kirchanschöring: Are the signs at a standstill?
As part of the geothermal project, which spans the municipalities of the church and running, there has been radio silence for some time. This development has prompted the UFB City Councilor Josef Steingrandl to ask those responsible. "Is there something else going on?" He inquired. Mayor Hans Feil calmed him down by confirming that "interest continues to exist", but left the further explanations to the managing director Christian Reiter.
Reiter said that you can continue to be in exchange with the responsible bodies, but you can currently come up with "nothing resilient". A possible point that came up in the discussion is the drilling point in Kirchanschöring, which is in the immediate vicinity of the railway line. Steingrandl suggested that together with the planned railway expansion to install a district heating line to the south. However, Christian Reiter pointed out that the train had clarified that its focus was on a two -track and electrified expansion of the line: "Nothing else!" In addition, the current heat production would not be given, which means that no further steps could be taken with regard to the line. The high costs of such infrastructure projects were also mentioned.
contradictory permits in building applications
In a meeting of the construction, environmental and urban development committee (BUSA), a building application was also dealt with, which had previously been a topic in March. It was a plan for building a residential building in Mayerhofen, including a garage and a storage room. The project was within the already built -up district, which was highlighted in the draft resolution. The committee unanimously approved this application.
Despite the approval of the committee, however, the application was rejected by the responsible building authority in the district office. The reason for this decision was a "central wall height", as the building worker Alexander Kalb briefly explained. The client then made a new planning in order to address the criticized points, which should lead to a renewed approval. In the following session, the committee again gave the green light for the project.
Developments related to district heating and construction projects in the region clearly show how important it is to reconcile the various interests of community development, infrastructure and the economic aspects. In view of the ongoing challenges and the upcoming projects, it remains to be seen how those responsible will master the balancing act between ambitious plans and the hard facts.
