Funkholes in Rosenheim: Where the cell phone fails and where not!

The Federal Network Agency has now published the shocking results of its comprehensive radio-hole analysis! Over 1 million measuring points were evaluated in the roses Rosenheim, Traunstein, Berchtesgadener Land, Altötting and Mühldorf, and the numbers are alarming. There are most of the sparkling holes, especially in the Berchtesgadener Land - cell phones remained with 6.8 percent of the measurements without reception! In contrast, the city of Rosenheim shines with only 0.3 percent and is therefore the prime example of good cell phone reception.

The data comes from a special radio-hole app that was installed by almost 20,000 Bavarian users. This app has generated over 15 million measuring points, which have now been prepared by the Federal Network Agency. The results show not only the distribution of 2G, LTE and 5G, but also the differences between the providers. While O2 telephony in Berchtesgadener Land is best cutting 3.4 percent of the measuring points, Vodafone users have the most problems with 11.8 percent. Also in the Traunstein district, radio sparkles with 3 percent of the measurements are not uncommon, while Mühldorf is almost perfect with only 0.5 percent.

The largest radio holes are located in the three-lake area between Ruhpolding and Reit im Winkl, where all providers have difficulties. The route between Mühldorf and Freilassing is particularly problematic, where Telekom and Vodafone often weaken. There is often no reception on the train journey from Bayerisch Gmain in the Berchtesgaden valley kettle. In some communities, such as Oberneukirchen and Erharting in the Mühldorf district, there are no radio sparkles - a ray of hope in the otherwise radio -hole -hole region!
