First graders plant cherry tree: a symbol of growth and community!
A radiant day in Saaldorf-Surheim! On November 7, the first graders of the elementary school, their teachers and numerous parents gathered in the village square to celebrate a very special event: planting a cherry tree! Mayor Andreas Buchwinkler cited the ceremony, which is intended to serve the young students as a symbol of growth and thrive. With shovels and watering cans in hand, the children actively helped to put the tree in the prepared planting pit, which was lovingly prepared by municipal maiden Christoph Neuer.
Mayor Buchwinkler praised the committed children and emphasized: "This tree stands for a fresh start. How the tree grow up our children and with it they should become strong and rooted in our community." The festive atmosphere was accompanied by a colorful program of the children, which performed songs and poems that they had rehearsed for this special occasion. The happy performances ensured radiant faces in the audience and all made it smile.
delicious snack and happy cooperation
After the planting campaign, a delicious surprise was waiting for the little helpers: the community had prepared a snack with fresh pretzels, fruit and drinks. In the fresh air, the children enjoyed eating together and celebrated the new cherry tree, which will not only donate shadows in the coming years, but also beautify the village square with its flowers and fruits. The municipality of Saaldorf-Surheim looks full of anticipation of how the children of the 2024/2025 vintage will grow up with "their" tree and maintain it. A successful start to the new school year, which promises many beautiful experiences!
