University of Vocational Education 2025: Designing the future in Paderborn!
From March 17th to 19th, 2025, the 23rd university "vocational training" takes place at the University of Paderborn. The event is carried out under the motto "sustainable - digitally - equal opportunities. Future scenarios of work, education and work". These university days are aimed at actors from the areas of school, company, science and politics and offer a platform for exchange about current developments in vocational training.
Elke Büdenbender, the patron of the conference, will take part in a panel discussion. Registration for participation is possible until March 2, 2025. The "Vocational Education" University has been offered at changing locations every two years since 1980. The last event in 2023 took place at the University of Bamberg, previously in Siegen and Cologne.
Important aspects of the event
Around 1,000 participants are expected at the university days, which makes this format one of the largest nationwide exchange platforms between science, practice and politics. The organizer of the conference is Prof. Dr. Dietmar Heisler, who heads the educational science AG with a focus on vocational pedagogy at the University of Paderborn. The aim of the university days is to promote networking, exchange as well as the research and knowledge transfer in the field of vocational training.
