Traffic revolution in Bad Kissingen: Nordring finally becomes two -lane!
Bad Kissingen faces exciting changes! From Monday, November 4th, the Nordring will be back to the two -lane traffic artery - and that from Siblings Scholl space to the Steingraben! In a press release, the city announced that the urgently needed relief for traffic is now finally becoming a reality. So far, the road was only accessible to Friedrich-List-Straße.
A real ray of hope for commuters: The bus can turn off the Steingraben towards the city center again, and the Nordring bus stop is put back into operation! However, the entrance from Am Steingraben to Hausen remains single -lane for the time being. Those who come into the city of Hausen will be led over Salinenstrasse. In the meantime, work is diligently worked on the walking and bike path between Am Steingraben and Salinenstraße, which should be completed by Christmas. As soon as everything is ready, the entire north ring is opened in two lanes - initially on the existing asphalt layer.
important construction work is imminent!
But that's not all! From the beginning of March, the Nordring will be closed from Friedrich-List-Straße to Salinenstrasse for about six weeks. This measure is necessary to complete the asphalt work and crossing islands. However, access to Friedrich-List-Straße remains guaranteed. The city plans to complete the construction work until Easter, so that traffic can then flow again on the new north ring again without restrictions. Bad Kissingen, ready for the traffic of tomorrow!
