Volunteers urgently wanted: fight against the invasive lupins!
The Bad Kissingen region faces a significant threat from the invasive "multi -leaved lupins". This purple plant has been spreading incessantly in the black mountains for several years and endangers the typical, species -rich mountain mowing meadows. The lupine enriches the nutrient -poor floors with nitrogen and thereby displaces domestic and endangered plant species. In order to stop this trend and get the valuable meadows, the fight against these neophytes is extremely important, as in-und-um-schweinfurt.de
Since 2018, numerous volunteers, including farmers, youth groups and clubs, are involved in combating the lupinary plague together with commissioned companies. The Lower Nature Conservation Authority again appeals to volunteers to take part in this important campaign next year 2025. The control season for the lupins begins in mid -April and ends. Interested helpers have the opportunity to help remove the plants by cutting out with special tools, so -called ambulance. The collected plants are disposed of in "BigBags" to prevent further distribution of your seeds, as well as Landkreis-badkissingen.de addressed.
If you want to get involved, you will be instructed comprehensively before starting work and receives the necessary tools. The Lower Nature Conservation Authority is available for information and possible allowance. The challenges in the fight against the multi -leaved lupine are clear: only through collective efforts can the biodiversity in the black mountains be permanently secured.
