Timetable change: What will change for commuters from December 15th!

The Bavarian Regiobahn (BRB) will present a large timetable change on December 15 that brings numerous adjustments and improvements for passengers. According to innpuls.me , the departures in Munich main station will only take place two minutes after the full hour, which the train trips will make more efficient. Particularly noteworthy is the earlier departure of the train at 11:30 a.m. to Lenggries and Tegernsee, which starts an hour earlier from Monday to Friday. This is done to improve punctuality in the main traffic times, especially on the Munich-Holkirchen-Rosenheim route, where operational changes were implemented.

The test operation of the hydrogen cupboard Mireo Plus H, which is used on selected routes between Augsburg and Füssen at the beginning of the timetable change. The Hydrogen train is stationed in the BRB-Bahnbetrieb in Augsburg and is gradually integrated into the operation. The range of free WLAN on certain trains is also constantly being expanded, pioneering for the digital needs of passengers.

Another important point of the timetable is the restoration of the timetable concept between Freilassing and Berchtesgaden, which was already valid until March 4, 2024. This enables a continuous connection of the S3 from Salzburg to Bad Reichenhall. In addition to these changes to timetables, a new service is introduced via WhatsApp, which informs passengers about delays, changes and route closures and thus significantly simplifies the travel planning.
