Reggae party in Höxter: Music Monks make the Weserscholl tremenda!
Last Saturday, the Weserscholle in Höxter turned into a pulsating venue for music lovers: The tribute band Music Monks from Aschaffenburg delighted more than 400 visitors with a powerful show that extended over two and a half hours. The band, which pays homage to the style of Berlin's music legend Seed and Peter Fox, quickly brought the audience into a party mood. Although the appearance was recorded with a little hesitation at the beginning, the three singers in the front row quickly ensured that the audience was carried away from the first second. The performance was characterized by a unique mix of reggae, dancehall and other musical elements, which made the audience dance and celebrate. Hits like "shaking your bacon" and "eye cups" quickly made it clear that the mood heated up tremendously while the musicians shared their energy with the spectators. Hannah, a visitor from Berlin, traveled with friends who have been the band for many years. Together they enjoyed the atmosphere and were even allowed on stage to dance with the popular song "Shake Baby Shake".
positive feedback and views
concert organizer Stefan Friedrich von OWL-Booking was very satisfied with the season, which now ended with this last concert for 2023. He confirmed a small change in the concept for the coming years, since the after-work concerts should no longer take place due to a lack of success. Instead, some exciting events are already being planned for 2025. The "Heaven-Can-Wait Festival" will take place on May 29, 2025, and the following day the extra-free concert will be made up.
In addition, the ColdPlay tribute band Viva La Vida will visit the stage in Höxter again. According to Friedrich, there are also two to three other large acts in the pipeline, whereby the exact dates still have to be determined. These innovations show that despite the previous challenges, the organizers look optimistically into the future.
A special atmosphere was created by the variety of musical genres, which encouraged the audience from left to right to dance. The event illustrated the attraction of live music and the unbroken fun of the audience. While the band brought the hall to life, the initial shy of the audience quickly disappeared, and the Weserscholl became a real good mood kettle. Despite the cold-wet weather, no television or shirt remained dry, so much heated up the music!
