Future of the St. Konrad parish: Big changes are imminent!

In an impressive meeting of the parish of St. Konrad Ammersharten, the members discussed their future in the middle of the planned parish reform of the Bishopric of Regensburg. The aim of this reform is to combine the individual parishes in the Amberg-Sulzbach region by 2034 to larger parish associations. The impetus for these far -reaching changes comes from the endeavor to give the parishes the opportunity to bring their own ideas and wishes into the process before this leads to final decisions.

under the direction of Tobias Neudecker, the spokesman for the parish council, the current Situation of the parish was intensively illuminated. The participants were surprised by the large number of initiatives created by volunteers of the parish. A central question that came up was how it could be possible to preserve proven traditions and characteristics of the parish, while new structures are created. The participants agreed that identification with the parish unit remains decisive, especially in larger associations where personal commitment could be made more difficult.

commitment and future vision

Pastor Michael Jakob praised the commitment and passion of the participants who actively work for the well -being of their parish. He emphasized how important it is to keep a connection to the previous parish in times of change. The discussions and ideas that were exchanged during the meeting could pave the way for a future -oriented, yet traditional parish work. The reform represents a significant challenge, but the members of St. Konrad Ammersricht show determination to preserve the strengths of their community and at the same time to be open to new ways.
