The combination of clarinet, viola and piano is rarely found in the area of chamber music. Unlike the most famous piano or string trio, this line-up stands out due to its special harmony and timbre. The Trio Eiger, based in Switzerland and consisting of talented musicians from the Zurich Opera House, has now published a new album entitled "Fairy Tales". The name refers to Robert Schumann's work of the same name, which was not inspired by fairy tales in the narrower sense, but tells its own, captivating story with each sentence. In addition, the CD contains the "Fantasiessen op. 12" by Johan Amberg, which were first recorded here by the Trio Eiger and have a direct connection to Schumann's work.
