Amberg-Sulzbach: 16.1 million euros for green heating technologies!

In the district of Amberg-Sulzbach, there is a remarkable progress, since companies in the region can benefit from enormous funding of 16.1 million euros in the first half of 2024 by the KfW banking group. This financial support is considered an important impetus for the implementation of energy efficiency measures and sustainable heating technologies.

The member of the Bundestag Nils founder emphasizes the relevance of these funding for the future of the Amberg-Sulzbach region. While the funding volume declined slightly compared to the previous year, it remains at a stable level that is linked to the times before the crisis. The focus on energy efficiency and renewable energies is not only reflected locally, but also in Germany.

growth in the area of private customers

A particularly positive trend can be observed in the segment of private customers, where a new commitment volume of 10.5 billion euros will be recorded by the end of June 2024. This represents an increase compared to 8.0 billion euros in the previous year. The increase is primarily due to the higher commitments in the area of energy efficiency and renewable energies. What is striking is the “Climate -friendly new building” program, which shows a remarkable increase in the new to over 3.6 billion euros in the first half of 2024 compared to only 1.9 billion euros in the previous year.

Another important element is the newly launched heating promotion, which has been in force since February 27, 2024. By July 31, 2024, there are already commitments for around 77,600 grant applications with a total volume of around 1.1 billion euros across Germany. This program shows that the demand for these funding in the second quarter of 2024 increased dynamically, with around 5,000 commitments per week. These grants are aimed at private customers and companies that want to invest in modern and sustainable heating technologies.

In the district of Amberg-Sulzbach, 364 residential units have already benefited from these funding, with KfW funding for private residential units in the first half of 2024 a total of 10.3 million euros. The founder emphasizes: "The new funding programs of the KfW banking group are an important step to help small and medium-sized companies as well as private households in our district of Amberg-Sulzbach."

In addition, it is emphasized that innovative start-ups and non-profit companies can also benefit from these grants that present themselves as a long-term possibility of procuring capital. This support for energy efficiency and renewable energies is not only a step towards climate protection, but also an investment in the future of the region.

The KfW banking group and local politics are still committed to improve the framework conditions for sustainable development in the Amberg-Sulzbach district. These initiatives enable the actors on site to invest in modern technologies and at the same time contribute to the reduction of the environmental impact. Solutions for sustainable development are therefore not only necessary, but also far -sighted to counter the challenges of climate change.

The positive developments in this area could serve as a model for other regions in which similar funding opportunities could be used to combine economic and ecological goals. The funding from the KfW is therefore not only a financial incentive, but also a signal for an environmentally conscious future.
