Pilgrimage to Altötting: A moving experience for the believers!

An impressive journey undertook a large group of pilgrimage that, at the invitation of the Catholic men's work in the Dean's Office Tuttlingen-Spaichingen, went to the famous Marienwallfahrtort Altötting in Bavaria. Led by President Pastor Maurice Stefan and Deanery Officer Hans-Peter Mattes, the participants experienced a deep spiritual experience.

The arrival in Altötting was characterized by a guided tour of the grace chapel with the black Madonna and the many votive boards. The pilgrims received valuable insights into the history and meaning of the sites they visited. Anna basilica, which shines in new splendor, was particularly impressive while learning more about the holy brother Konrad in the Capuchin monastery.

spiritual experiences and community

The evening was particularly solemn when Hans-Peter Mattes led a prayer in the brother Konrad Church. This promoted a feeling of connection within the pilgrimage family. Another highlight was the light procession in which the group took part with great enthusiasm.

The day started early on Sunday morning. As early as 6 a.m., numerous pilgrims gathered in the Mercy Chapel to secure a place for the big Eucharist in the St. Anna Basilica at 10 a.m. Experience how people of all ages shared this spiritual moment was a touching experience for many.

The way back was enriched with a stop in Landsberg am Lech, where a varied city tour rounded off the program. At a dinner in the Bräuhaus in Ummendorf, the chairman of the Catholic men's work, Bernhard Schnee, thanked everyone involved who contributed to the successful course of the pilgrimage.

For those interested, the upcoming 16th men's vespers will also be pointed out to the beer world in Wurmlingen on October 24th. Such events promote the community and the exchange among the members of the men's work.
