25 years of pilgrimage: Reservists celebrate with pride and tradition in Wittibreut!

The traditional pilgrimage of the reservists in the Rottal-Inn district took place for the 25th time this year. Under the organization of the reservist comradeship Wittibreut, participants from all over southern Bavaria gathered in the municipality of Wittibreut in order to commit this festive occasion together. The reception of the pilgrims began on Friday evening in the parish home of St. Jacob, which the parish traditionally is available for such events.

With a lot of commitment and conscientious preparations, the reservists and their relatives ensured that the pilgrimage could run smoothly. The route was explored beforehand, food for the evening and breakfast was prepared, and even the necessary security measures were organized. Everything was perfect for the upcoming pilgrimage path that should lead the participants through the autumn landscape.

God's blessing for the long way

After a rest on the Peracher swimming lake, in which the pilgrims could fortify themselves, the fog gradually cleared.

The highlight of the morning was certainly the solemn reception at the Gries car park, where they were expected by Father Berthold, accompanied by a crossbarrow. The moving into the Holy Chapel of Altötting, accompanied by the bell of the nearby places of worship, was a moving and moving moment for everyone involved.

This contributed to further consolidating the sense of community among the pilgrims.
