Life in old age: Experts discuss living opportunities in Kissing!

On Friday, November 15th, there will be an important event on the subject of "Life in old age", which is organized by the Wittelsbach Land Association. This event, which is common under the title "Old Future", is supported by the EU as part of the leader programs, which particularly take care of the promotion of rural regions. The focus is on exploring different life concepts for senior citizens.

A highlight of the event will be the participation of the well-known actress Michaela May, which not only holds a starting speech, but also takes part in a panel discussion. The regional manager of the Wittelsbacher Land Association, David Hein, has already announced that the goal of the event is to motivate municipal representatives and citizens to actively work in the process of improving the quality of life in old age.

A variety of topics and experts

Numerous top-class speakers will present their insights on innovative living concepts and infrastructural support offers. The important role of volunteering is particularly emphasized, because the event is intended to promote interest in social commitment. Christina Hüßner from the Health Region Plus in the district explains that existing structures should react to such challenges in order to actively involve more seniors.

In addition, the topic of digitization is taken up, which is of central importance for people in the care sector. Here one reads from projects such as "Deinhaus 4.0", which pursue the goal of enabling seniors a longer life in their own four walls by using modern technologies. The discussion is directed by experts who will present their experiences and suggestions.

The LEADER event only marks one of the many steps in the context of a more comprehensive strategy of the EU to develop rural areas. An event in Friedberg Castle was preceded by central questions about energy safety.

The organizers would like to obtain an opinion in the population in advance to find out how they perceive life in old age. For this purpose, an online questionnaire is offered on the website of the district office, which is accessible until October 31.

The event begins at 2 p.m. in the Paartalhalle in Kissing and admission is free for members of the Wittelsbacher Land Association; For other visitors it costs 10 euros, including drinks and snacks. Tickets are available on the website of the association.
