In December there will be significant disruptions to rail traffic around Münster! Deutsche Bahn has announced that construction work on the railway line will begin on December 2nd for almost two weeks. Almost three kilometers of tracks will be replaced by December 14th - and it will be done with roaring machines! Almost 5,000 sleepers and around 6,000 meters of new rail will be laid, which will require a complete closure of the section between Münster-Hiltrup and Münster main station. What a change for commuters and travelers!

Things get particularly dramatic in long-distance transport! The intercity trains on the Münster-Dortmund-Siegen-Frankfurt line must be rerouted. The stop in Hamm is simply canceled! Some trains between Münster and Witten will also be affected. For these travelers this means: No stops in Hamm and Dortmund! Deutsche Bahn assures that information for regional transport will be provided in a timely manner so as not to leave travelers out in the cold.
