Ichenheimer Kirche, Ettenheim, Deutschland - On Saturday evening, the Ichenheim church experienced a heroically exuberant party! Numerous party goers flocked to the second "church rave" and turned the church into a vibrant dance floor. The bass boomed, the beats were buzzing - there was no foot still here! Pastor Anna Schimmel was enthusiastic about the great response and explained that celebrating in the church is by no means a desecration.

The entry? No vouchers, no money! Instead, generous donations were collected for the Lahrer Tafel, which brought visitors in the form of food packages. Numerous helping hands were at work to pass on the great atmosphere and surpass the 8 moving boxes from the last time - the goal was clearly defined! "The visitors really thought about it," said Pastor Schimmel in an emotional speech.

Despite the criticism obtained about the event in the church, Schimmel was not put off. In their eyes, churches are "special places" for community and experience with God. She takes the view that dance and music even help to bring God's presence closer: "The special atmosphere does something with people!" Apparently the DJ Samuel Fischer was placed right in front of the altar, which also gave the event a grandiose frame. A complete success, because life and God - you celebrate that together!
