Chaos in Friesenhofen: Truck traffic endangers residents and children!

Friesenhofen is under pressure! The chaos begins at 5:30 a.m. when the trucks flood the place. Local residents report a real nightmare: "The trucks shoot around here, keep giving way to the sidewalk," complains a desperate resident. The location is the worst until 7:30 a.m., then it gets a little quieter. But the damage is already done!

The residents are desperate. Garden fences were torn down, street lamps were driven around and the traces of destruction are visible everywhere. "My daughter was traveling with the stroller when a truck came up with her!" Says a worried father. The dangers are real and the residents feel abandoned.

frustration and helplessness

The city administration reacted and reduced the speed to 30 km/h, but that does not solve the fundamental problem. "The streets are simply not suitable for truck traffic," admits Thomas Stupka, spokesman for the city administration. The residents are calling for a traffic light or a weight restriction for the passage, but these suggestions have already been rejected.

The police cannot effectively control a weight restriction and the fear of further accidents grows. "What happens in snow or rain?" Ask the residents. The construction work on the L318 should be completed by December 13th, but the uncertainty remains. The nerves of the residents are bare and patience is put to the test!
