Krachenfels bakery is fighting: 210 jobs secured for the time being!

After almost 340 years, a traditional bakery in Germany is affected by bankruptcy - a blow that shakes the Alberta of baked goods lovers! The Krachenfels bakery, founded in 1686, pulls the emergency brake and sealed its fate. The problems started when several branches have been closed in recent months, including the locations in Villingen-Schwenningen and Trossingen. 210 employees are now looking into an uncertain future!

The difficult times of the bakery

Georg Krachenfels, as head of the family and managing director of the bakery in the third generation, is confident: "Our goal is to strengthen and continue the Krachenfels bakery for the future." Although the salaries - at least for the time being - are secured by the bankruptcy money, it remains unclear how the traditional company will continue. The bakery has a long history that has firmly rooted in the heart of baking art and is now hanging in the air.

The bankruptcy of Krachenfels follows the trend, because only recently another large bakery chain from southern Germany reported bankruptcy. The heated waves of financial uncertainty break through the industry! It remains to be seen whether Krachenfels will still create the turn or also go into the history books.
