SPD anniversaries: 25 and 50 years of commitment to Mönchweiler!

Mönchweiler, Deutschland - In an exciting meeting, the SPD local association Mönchweiler/Niedereschach discussed the pressing questions about community development. How can you involve the citizens more into important decisions if the financial scope are becoming increasingly narrower? This question is reducing the members, especially in view of the changeover to the double housekeeping, which makes the building investments of recent years and their depreciation clearly noticeable.

A central topic was the precarious accommodation of primary school classes in containers. The local election campaign has shown that public discussions such as this effect can show. The containers have now been broken down, the students were housed in provisional premises in the main building of the school. But the real problem remains unresolved! The SPD emphasizes that the urgently needed school expansion must now be more than ever on the agenda, especially when two -tier final classes are pending.

Long -standing members were also honored at the meeting. Michael Kaiser from Niedereschach received an award for his impressive 50 years in the SPD. The former board of the SPD in Bietigheim has recently moved to Niedereschach. Hannelore Kühling, who was a municipal councilor in Mönchweiler from 2004 to 2009, was recognized for her 25-year membership. Her roots in social democracy are deeply returned, influenced by her father, and she has been active in local politics since her return to Mönchweiler in 1998.
