68 % of Stuttgart believe: Migrants make schools more dangerous!

Stuttgart, Deutschland - in Stuttgart it is bubbling! The population of Baden-Württemberg is alerted: a majority believe that schools have become more dangerous due to the influx of migrants. A recent survey by Insa is also skillfully accusing this explosive assumption. A whopping 63 percent of those surveyed see a strong connection between the proportion of foreign students and increasing violence. Particularly noteworthy: Even among the SPD voters, 70 percent confess that they find this connection strong or very strong. There is even more approval for CDU (73 %) and AfD voters (91 %). Image The representative survey was created on behalf of the AfD parliamentary group.

But what do the Greens and Left say? A different picture is emerging for them: in comparison, their voters see the majority of only a weak or no connection. Just 38 percent of the green and 42 percent of the left voters share the majority concern. Are these the voices of reason or just political calculation?

violent offenses in schools on the test bench

Hans-Peter Hörner (73), the school policy spokesman for the AfD and one of the loudest critics of current education policy, does not show a leaf: "The survey once again proves the complete failure of integration in the field of education." He complains that neither school social workers nor school psychologists get the problem under control. Her efforts are pure placebo effects, says Hörner. His demand: Migrant children should be distributed more evenly to the classes so that the proportion of foreigners in individual schools should not be increased immeasurably.

The alarming numbers speak volumes: Last year, almost 3,000 violent offenses were registered in schools in Baden-Württemberg, an increase of 13.5 percent. The situation is even more depressing nationwide: 27,500 acts of violence were recorded, which means a frightening increase of 27 percent.

statistics versus public perception

Interestingly, current statistics of the German statutory accident insurance show a different picture: Between 2007 and 2023, the number of "violent accidents" at German schools has decreased, from more than ten cases each 1000 pupils in 2007 in only seven cases in 2023. A contradiction that raises many questions, or is this only the statistical perspective that looks good on paper?

like Image also reports, the debate about integration and violence in schools is in full swing and is not so silent so quickly. The fact is that a discussion of central importance for the future of the education system. The opinions are shared and the solution currently seems to be a long way off.
