Seniorenring Sigmaringen before: Who saves the club?
Seniorenring Sigmaringen before: Who saves the club?
Red alarm level at the Sigmaringer senior ring! The association is on the abyss of the dissolution, as the chairman Karlheinz Gonschorek explains. Six board members, including Gonschorek himself, plan their resignation because, due to age, they can no longer raise the necessary energy to continue the association. However, the search for successors is desperate! For over a year you have been looking for new committed members - without success!
The senior ring, which proudly celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, was the first point of contact for seniors in Sigmaringen for years. But the activities of the association, such as the popular excursions to the Waldbühne or the office hours in the town hall, lose attraction. "People just want to have free time," complains Gonschorek and blames the Corona pandemic for the dwindling interest. Of the once 50 participants on excursions, there are now only almost half left!
urgent need for action!
The watch ticks! The next meeting is already at the end of November, and if no new board has been found until then, the final dissolution threatens: "Then I have to write in the invitation to write: Dissolve," warns Gonschorek. The invitation must be sent two weeks in advance, and the time is pushing!
If there are still new members, they could adapt the association structure according to their ideas. Gonschorek hopes that the new management will continue to follow two important projects: the barrier -free train station and a barrier -free recycling center. The members of the senior ring are also involved in the new senior meeting on Leopoldplatz, which has recently moved. The city is in discussions on how the advisory service of the senior ring can be continued despite the uncertain future. But time is running, and it remains to be seen whether the senior ring can be saved!
