Resignation drama in the Oberschwaben football district: Kühner and Gühör draw consequences!
Bad Schussenried, Deutschland - Siegfried Kühner and Hubert Verßhör, two central figures in the Oberschwaben soccer district, have laid their offices with immediate effect. Kühner, previously deputy chairman, justifies this step with serious interpersonal differences to the district chairman Sigmar Störk, while Gönhör, the district manager of the district, withdraws from the responsibilities after he has prepared many sleepless nights in emotionality about the current situation.
In an email that was sent to numerous officials at the beginning of September, Kühner expressed his dissatisfaction with Störk's leadership style and described him as a "human disaster". These words were perceived by Störk, who reacted to the resignation with regret, as “brutal”. The divergences seem to have built up over a longer period of time, especially in the context of the fusion of the districts of Riß and Donau, which took place in spring and resulted in a fight vote with Störk as the winner.
background of the resignation
The resignation of Kühner and Ververhör is the result of a bottleneck situation that has already been rumored in advance in insider circles. Relationships within the committee worsened and Joshua Störk tried in vain to work as a mediator. The tensions apparently culminated in the situation around the explosive game between Bad Schussenried and Türkspor Biberach, where an attack on the referee occurred. Störk explained that information was not exchanged in time in this matter.
Hubert Übelhöre said goodbye to the clubs in his mails and thanked for the collaboration. He stuck in an emotive conflict and signaled that the current challenges are no longer portable for him. "If volunteering is no longer fun and you can't sleep at night, you have to stop," he wrote. These words resonate strongly and underline the deep emotional stress that can go hand in hand with voluntary work.
reactions and outlook
The reactions to the resignations were mixed. While the decision is respected by Störk, the statements of the two former officials leave a shell after taste. In his press release, Störk emphasizes the importance of responsibility and transparency within the board and shows lack of understanding for the tensions that are obviously up to during his term. "We just experience changes everywhere," added Störk, regarding the current situation in the football district association.
With regard to the successor, a solution has already been found. Niko Schäfer, who has acted as deputy game director in the past, will take over the business of bad guys and reorganize the division of tasks within the association. The restructuring should be as little as possible for the clubs in the Upper Swabian district, although the changes, both in terms of personnel and the withdrawal of the two key figures, will have an immense impact.
For future developments and deeper analyzes of the situation within the football district, it remains exciting to observe how those responsible will react to the challenges, especially with regard to adaptation to new conditions and the strengthening of internal relationships to avoid such conflicts in the future.
