Sewing marathon in Scheer: Women fight together against cancer!
An impressive sewing marathon took place last weekend in the parish hall in Scheer! A committed group of women belonging to the on-Comement movement has come together to sew more than 400 hats and pillows for people with cancer. This heart -warming event was organized by the brave Stefanie Wobbe, who even experienced a difficult time with operations and chemotherapy.
Stefanie, who knows the importance of small gestures in difficult times, has invited women from all over Baden-Württemberg. "We were 17 women on both days," she reports proudly. "A lot was sewn, tailored, pillow filled and many nice conversations." The participants, many of them themselves, not only sewed, but also exchanged valuable support and experiences.
Impressive results
The result is impressive: a total of 321 hats, 67 heart pillows, 18 port pillows and 14 bags for drainage bags were made! These lovingly sewn pieces will be distributed to various clinics with oncological stations in the coming weeks. "That shows us that we are on the right track," says Stefanie, pleased about the great response and participation of women from all over the region.
Stefanie Wobbe also organizes a monthly sewing meeting in the Sigmaringen district, which takes place on Wednesday evening. Interested parties are cordially invited to report on 07572/7641507. Together they can continue to set a sign of hope and solidarity!
