In Krauchenwies, the construction clock tirelessly beats! The new roundabout, officially finished, remains closed for the time being. "It is not what it looks like," warns site manager Kai Linder. The pavement in front of the fountain and the Backhaus Mahl is still a construction site. Traffic chaos is the result!

The markings, plantings and lighting are not yet appropriate. "We are on the right track, but questions about the delivery of the lanterns still remain open," explains Linder. According to the plan, the new roundabout is to be opened on Friday, November 29, after a seven -month construction period, which will be completed with a small celebration!

Waiting for the detour

Despite progress, the diversion will not be lifted by the end of November. Drivers still have to adapt to detours, while the official approval of the new traffic project is approaching. "We stick to the schedule, that's important!" Says Linder optimistically.

But that's not all! Next spring, work on the development of the central bus station on a neighboring property will begin, which will be approached every day by around 100 buses. The good news: No more blocking is necessary for the B311 - a little ray of hope in traffic chaos!
