Sturm and snow: weather warning for Baden-Württemberg from Monday!

A dramatic change in weather is imminent! The German Weather Service (DWD) announces rain and violent wind for Monday, November 18, 2024. The first gusts of wind are expected on Monday morning, at speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour. In several counties, including the district of Lörrach and the Black Forest Baar district, there are already official warnings from 3 a.m. The population is asked to adjust to dangerous conditions!

The low pressure area "Pauline" not only brings rain, but also stormy winter weather. The situation will become even more critical from Tuesday, since the wind speeds in higher altitudes can even reach up to 120 km/h. The DWD warns of falling branches and objects flying around. The people in the affected regions should secure their garden furniture and other loose objects to avoid damage.

But that's not all! After the storm it gets cold: from Wednesday the temperatures will fall to icy one to four degrees. In higher altitudes, from about 400 meters, snow can be expected that could also remain lying. However, the exact amount of snow remains uncertain, which could lead to possible traffic restrictions. Drivers should be prepared on smooth roads and drive carefully!
