Villa Junghans: City administration struggles for renovation and leasehold!

The city administration of Schramberg faces a huge dilemma: the renovation of Villa Junghans, a project that feels like a block on the leg, could soon disappear in the sinking! In a heated meeting of the administrative committee, the head of department Bent Liebrich outlined the pressing problems that the city plagues. The plan to find an external operator for the villa who takes over the renovation at its own expense is met with massive resistance. The councils are anything but enthusiastic about these suggestions!

A central point of dispute is the planned kitchen, which was estimated in the 2025 budget with 500,000 euros. Liebrich warns: "That brings us close to the award procedure!" This means that the city has to advertise across Europe, which only makes things more complicated. The councils agree: the gastronomy must be put back into operation as soon as possible, and without the excess costs for a new kitchen. Udo Neudeck from the free/new list is upset and demands a quick solution while the CDU vehemently advocates the leasehold.

a chaos of the regulations

The Situation is tightened by the tense personnel situation in building construction. Liebrich complains that the two architects are busy with major projects and that Villa Junghans is high on the list of priorities. "We have to jump from one branch to the other," he says frustrated. The councils are calling for an external architect to advance the project, while Mayor Dorothee Eisenlohr admits that progress does not meet expectations.

The discussion is getting more heated when Ralf Rückert from the Free/New List criticizes the administration: "We don't get a step further!" He demands a clear timeline to solve the problems. Finally, a modified decision is made: the renovation should be promoted without the renewal of the kitchen, and the administration must report on the progress quarterly. A little ray of hope in a sea of bureaucratic hurdles!
