Dramatic car fire in Neckargemünd: 18-year-old saves himself in time!

In a dramatic incident in Neckargemünd, Rhein-Neckar-Kreis, a car got on fire while the 18-year-old driver was at the wheel. On Friday afternoon, November 15, the young woman suddenly noticed that her Daimler Benz had caught fire. With quick action, she parked the vehicle on the side of the road and was able to bring herself to safety in good time. Shortly afterwards her car was already in flames!

The Neckargemünd fire brigade was quickly on hand with 16 emergency services and was able to quickly extinguish the infernal fire. But the damage was enormous: the car suffered a total loss of around 5,000 euros, and an adjacent hedge was also affected. Fortunately, the driver was unharmed, while the road had to be closed until around 8:30 p.m. in order to carry out the rescue and cleaning work. A detour was set up to guide the traffic.

The FIRE's quick reaction prevented worse, and the 18-year-old can be lucky that she reacted in time. In a similar incident a few days ago, a truck at the Kaiserring in Mannheim burned completely, but fortunately there were no injuries here. Such incidents remind us of how important it is to act quickly in an emergency and make the right decisions!
