The Ravensburger defense revealed massive weaknesses, especially in the case of resting balls. Coach Martin Braun was visibly frustrated after the game and explained: "We lost the balls too quickly." The first half was a disaster for the Ravensburger, who only had a noteworthy chance, while the TSG was already in the lead 2-0. An own goal of Nicolas Jann in the 24th minute and a goal by Shaban Veselaj shortly before the break ensured the clear leadership of the hosts.
