Media prevention: Bad Saulgau schools start important action week!

In Bad Saulgau it says from November 11th to 15th: Media practice up close! This year's prevention week at schools is in full swing and relies on critical use of digital media. Smartphones, social networks and the digital world are an integral part of the lives of the youngest. The goal? Enable children and adolescents to safely navigate the exciting but often dangerous possibilities of these technologies!

Dedicated teachers, parent council chairwoman and experienced school social workers are involved in the exciting initiative. Supported by the Ravensburg police and the Sigmaringen district office, numerous information and strategies flow into the events. Workshops and practical teacher training courses are on the program to make educators fit for the challenges in digital lessons.

interactive offers and parents' evening

A special highlight is the parents' evening on Wednesday, November 13th, at 6.30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Walter Knoll school. Media educator Daniel Lassak gives valuable tips on how parents can accompany their children through everyday digital life. Knowing how to give the kids a safe and responsible behavior is in the foreground.

The crowning end of the week is the interactive play "totally networked-and all right?!" the group "Q-Rage". On Friday, November 15th, in the town hall in Bad Saulgau, the fifth classes will be confronted with topics such as cyberbullying and the use of WhatsApp and Tiktok. This performance not only promises entertainment, but also brings essential information about the digital world directly into the classroom! Hierlemann, prevention officer, announces: "The media prevention week gives students and their parents the necessary tools to be able to act safely and responsibly in the digital landscape!"
