Lifeguard honored: Leutkirch celebrates 49 committed blood donors!

On November 14th, the Schwörsaal in Leutkirch shone in the glamor of the lifesaver! The city honored 49 extraordinary citizens who made an invaluable contribution to donating blood due to their tireless willingness to donate blood. From 10 to incredible 125 donations - the honored are true role models for the community!

Mayor Hans-Jörg Henle opened the celebrations with a powerful message: "Blood donations saved life! Today's heroes are a shining example for all of us. I ask everyone to follow their example and become a lifesaver myself!"

Common honor with the DRK

The solemn award took place in cooperation with Claudia Gasafi, the deputy standby manager of the German Red Cross (DRK). In addition to the honorary certificates, the blood donors received small gifts as a sign of gratitude. Henle emphasized: "Blood donations are an indispensable contribution that gives hope and saves life. We are proud of so many committed people in Leutkirch!"

An exciting lecture by Philipp Art, specialist in urology, rounded off the event. Under the title "What does it do?" he gave valuable insights into an important health issue and enriched the event with his knowledge.

Special awards

The city of Leutkirch thanks all blood donors for their valuable support and calls for continuing to work for this life -saving task. Each blood donation is a sign of humanity and solidarity - and can save lives!

Hubert Baumgärtner and Elmar Herrmann were particularly honored for 125 blood donations. Stefan Huber, Rita Kämmerle and Wolfgang Kübler received the badge of honor for 100 donations. Petra Mattes, Karl-Josef Menig, Harald Ortmann and Reinhold Rau were awarded for 75 donations. Wolfgang Ehrmann, Fabian Frischknecht and others have donated blood 50 times. In addition, 13 people were honored for 25 donations and 15 for 10 donations.
