Intercultural days in Lahr: Experience diversity until November 23!

The intercultural days in Lahr are in full swing and offer an exciting program this week! By November 23, visitors can experience a variety of events that celebrate cultural cooperation. In the city museum, a captivating exhibition on flight and migration is shown, which will open on Wednesday, November 13th, at 3 p.m. Here, visitors learn everything about the life of refugees in the shared accommodation of the Ortenaukreis and the legal framework that applies to asylum seekers. The exhibition is accessible until November 23 during the opening hours of the museum.

On Thursday, November 14, at 8 p.m., the music teacher Leonie Merz-Enders invites you to the "dances of universal peace". This event takes place in the Königsberger Ring 36/1 and offers a unique opportunity to sing and dance to Mantras and holy songs from different religions. Admission is free, but registration is required via www.singflug.de. On Friday, November 15th, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Kultur-AG of the Scheffel-Gymnasium will organize a lecture on Ezidentity, a religion over 4000 years old. The lecture costs one euro, and for only five euros the participants can try traditional Ezidi food.

fascinating musical performances

The Coşkun Percussion Trio will present the variety of drum cultures on Friday, November 15, from 6 p.m. in the house at the collegiate church with its “Groovistan” program. The renowned percussionist Murat Coşkun and his colleagues will inspire with their own compositions and rhythms from different cultures. Admission is also free! On Saturday, November 16, an intercultural dance afternoon with dance teacher Phoebe Wacker will take place at MeinWärung at Schützenstraße 32. No previous knowledge is necessary here and admission is free.

For music lovers, the event "Susi & Die Strolche" is available on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. in the Abbey Schaffneikeller, which comes up with swing, bossa, musette and tango. Tickets are available in advance for twelve euros. There are also numerous offers for children, including an international program in the meeting house and a Lego Action event that begins on Friday, November 15th. Here children between the ages of eight and 14 can build their own city from 10,000 stones!
