U17 celebrates peat festival, but disciplinary measures cloud the cheers!
The U17 of the EVR recently achieved considerable success in the German junior league II. After an impressive 4: 1 and a significantly higher 13: 5 against the Peiting team, the team was able to work in fourth place in the table. But despite the positive results, there are cloudy mood due to several blocks that the team will face on Saturday in the game against Mannheim.
In the first encounter in Peiting, the goal scorers Luke Schmelzer and Ilya Katjuschenko, both of whom met twice. Interestingly, almost 100 minutes of penalty were imposed in this game, which indicates an aggressive style of play. The second leg, which took place in the CHG arena, was also characterized by many goals, but also by an increased number of penalties for the Ravensburger. The EVR was able to get the canteen victory
penalty and locking
Despite the pleasing result on the offensive, the joy for the EVR was clouded. In the crucial moments of the game, there were disciplinary penalties that the team are now expensive. The playing duration disciplinary punishments against Iwan Lengle, Robin Waldherr and Artöm Maul are particularly annoying as well as a match penalty against Luca Künz. These failures will significantly influence the team and present the coach with major challenges, since four players cannot stand on the ice against Mannheim.
The U15 of the EVR in the Bayernliga offers a different perspective. The team could not exist here in Landsberg and lost 6-2. This defeat means that the Ravensburger behind Peiting and Landsberg slip into third place in their group. It was a difficult game that could only be sweetened in the last two minutes by goals by Leandro Schatz and Alexander Elzer, but the outcome remained unhappy.
Overall, it can be seen that despite the sporting success in the U17, serious problems arose from the many barriers. The question remains how the EVR will deal in the upcoming games, especially without some of his key players. The current developments throw a shadow on the otherwise positive progress, and it remains to be seen how the coaches and players can master the situation.
