Literary tour: Discover the New Objectivity in Mannheim!

On Sunday, January 12, 2025, a literary tour of the photo exhibition "factually new" takes place. The event begins at 3 p.m. and is organized by the Reiss-Engelhorn Museums and the bookmark Mannheim initiative. Interested visitors can look forward to an interesting connection between literature and photography, which shows the important works of August Sander, Albert Renger-Patzsch and other artists.

As part of the tour, members of the initiative will present literary texts from the era of new objectivity. Around 120 pictures are shown, including by photographer August Sander (1876-1964) and Albert Renger-Patzsch (1897-1966).

An important feature of the exhibition is the dialogue with photographs by Robert Häuser (1924-2013) as well as the main topics "portrait and human representations", "industry and people at work" and "landscape rooms". No prior registration is necessary for the tour, only admission to the exhibition is required.
