With only 776 newly reported jobs in the past four weeks, demand has also decreased, compared to 111 positions less than in September - a decrease of 12.5 percent! The number of open positions in the district has dropped to a dramatic 4,160, which is 6.5 percent less than in the previous month and 12.7 percent less than in the previous year. Nevertheless, Lehmann is optimistic: "We still have a considerable number of vacancies. The shortage of skilled workers is still a big problem in many industries!" After all, there is hope for improvement.
