Burglars just try to ride: puzzles for nightly stable visits!
In the small community of Korntal-Münchingen in the district of Ludwigsburg, there is currently an unusual case of burglary, which puts local stable owners on alert. An unknown man breaks down several times into a horse stable to apparently ride the animals. In the interview, operations manager Philipp Hartmeyer describes his worries and the strange events that make the nights of the residents unsafe.
The perpetrator strikes in the dark and left recorded monitoring videos on both occasions. The first slump occurred on August 29, the second followed on October 14th. Hartmeyer describes the Situation as quite disturbing. "Sleep quietly at night is no longer in it," he explains, asks himself: "What is his intention behind it? Does he just want to go a round?" The background of the burglary remain puzzling, and the behavior of the intruder raises many questions.
detailed recordings of the surveillance cameras
Both times the stranger appeared as an amateur. At first he wanted to saddle a young stallion, which did not happen very professionally: "You can see clearly that he has no knowledge of dealing with horses, otherwise he would not make it so bumbling," said Hartmeyer. The videos showed that the perpetrator might even fell off the horse at the first break -in before he came back to the stable and saddle another animal.
The animals showed behaviors that were worrying for the stable manager: According to Hartmeyer, the stallion who had fled had no desire to be alone at night and made a Ferris wheel with the other horses. This alerted the residents who were looking for help from the police and court workers. "We were shocked when we discovered free -range horses," recalls Hartmeyer. Despite an immediate police raid, the perpetrator ran away undetected in the dark.
After calm has returned for a long time, the stranger broke in again, this time with a bicycle as an escape. Hartmeyer explains: "This suggests that he is living here nearby. Someone must have seen him." In order to collect clues, the stable owner immediately exposed a reward of 500 euros.
increased security measures at the Talhof
The consequences of these unpleasant incidents are also evident in the security measures of the court. Hartmeyer announced that the existing monitoring technology was improved by installing additional motion detectors and the alarm system was upgraded. The situation remains tense, not only for court owners, but also for private individuals whose horses are housed there. "We just have to stay calm here. The emotions rise quickly when you think that your own animal is in danger," says Hartmeyer and is concerned about the well -being of the animals.
But this case is not the first that the valley has experienced. Saddles were stolen 13 years ago, which indicated a targeted theft at the time. This time, the burglar's intentions are less clear, which makes the situation particularly threatening. The hope for relevant information that could lead to identification of the perpetrator is still great. "Every information could help us clarify this strange situation," concludes Hartmeyer and remains optimistic that the perpetrator will soon be caught.
