about the artist and the exhibition
Ana Laibach is an unconventional storyteller whose works reflect on social issues and offer a personal perspective. She preserves her thoughts and associations in pictures, paintings and drawings. The vernissage of the exhibition took place on December 6th, with Mayor Dr. Nicolas Meyer did the opening and Stefanie Kleinsorge, head of the Ludwigshafen cultural sector, held a laudation. The evening was musically framed by Missy Canis.
Ana Laibach was born in Braunschweig in 1966 and studied free art at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe. She has been appointed master student of Max Kaminski and has been working in her “Flower -eating salon” studio in Mannheim since 2007. In addition, she worked as a guest artist at the state majolica Karlsruhe and was an artistic employee at the University of Landau-Koblenz from 2018 to 2020. In her career, she was able to win several awards, including the art prize of the city of Mannheim in 2018 and Dr. Dormagen-Guffanti Scholarship of the City of Cologne in 2022.
