Ittersbach: L 622 renovation is delayed - traffic release only in December!

Ittersbach, Deutschland - A large construction project has started in Ittersbach! Since July 1, 2024, the passage through Landesstraße 622 has been fundamentally renewed. This measure commissioned by the Karlsruhe regional council promises a comprehensive improvement in traffic conditions in the region. But the work is not without challenges: currently work at the bus stop and the lane divider at the intersection of the L 622 with Feldbergstraße / Oberer Wasen. In addition, the faulty altitude of the asphalt ceiling between the entrance to the town and Pfinztalstrasse is corrected.

Unfortunately, the residents and road users have to prepare for delays! Weather -related problems have thrown the construction work back by two weeks, so that the L 622 can only be released for traffic on December 6, 2024. In the meantime, the property drives in the blocked area remain usable, but they cannot be reached during the asphalt work from November 27 to 29, 2024. The residents concerned will be informed by the construction company in good time.

The detour leads via the K 3556 and K 3585 to Taubenbrunnwiesen and back to the L 622. Holding bans in Eichgasse, Gartenstraße and Großmüllergasse remain until the traffic was released. The total costs for this important project amount to around 1.5 million euros, which are borne by the state. The Karlsruhe regional council asks for understanding the inconvenience that this construction work brings.
