Large construction site B 3: Traffic collapse between Ettlingen and Neumalsch!

Neumalsch, Deutschland - A huge road construction project rolls up! In the summer of 2024, the Karlsruhe regional council tackled the B 3 lane ceiling between Ettlingen and Neumalsch. After two construction phases, the hub B 3 / L 608 in Neumalsch has been renovated since November 4, 2024. The top 12 centimeters on the L 608 and even 20 centimeters of the asphalt layer are renewed on the B 3. The entire measure should be completed by mid -December 2024.

The first construction phase (3a) will be completed on Monday, November 18, 2024. But be careful! From that day, traffic will be redirected to the second construction phase (3b), which will lead to significant impairments. During this phase, the L 608 south of the knot is completely blocked to convert two bus stops barrier -free. Drivers have to adjust to diversions via L 67 (Murgtalstraße) and Daimlerstrasse in the Malsch industrial area. However, pedestrians and cyclists can continue to use the detour route from the first construction phase. During the second construction phase, the B 3 remains accessible in both directions with a temporary traffic light system.

The costs for this mammoth project amount to around 3.5 million euros, with the federal government and the country share the expenditure. Before the third and last construction phase, the Karlsruhe regional council will again inform about the exact closures and diversions. The road users are asked for understanding for the upcoming burdens and disabilities.
