Heidenheim Music School receives coveted seal of quality for talents!

A radiant sign of musical excellence: The music school in Heidenheim has received a prestigious seal of quality! A badge is now emblazoned on the building that announces the awarding of the quality seal for the preparatory training (SVA) by the state association of the Baden-Württemberg music schools. The solemn act took place in the State University of Music Trossingen and was framed by talented students of the certified music schools.

Mayor Simone Maiwald is enthusiastic: "It is nice that with this seal we also receive confirmation that our music school does a demanding and excellent work." Monika Zimmermann, the head of the music school, adds: "I am very pleased that, according to our order, we can prepare young talents in the best possible way for entrance exams at music universities." In the coming school year 2024/2025, four young talents will be included in the preparatory training, supported by seven committed teachers who teach in various subjects.

regional success in the funding program

Heidenheim is not alone! In East Württemberg, four out of a total of 14 music schools have now been included in the funding program, including Ellwangen, Aalen and Giengen. Nationwide, 48 out of 213 music schools benefit from this valuable support. Public music schools have the task of discovering and promoting musical talents, and preparing for music studies is a central part of this mission. The initiative for certification of the preparatory training was launched by the State Rectors' Conference of the Music University of Baden-Württemberg and the State Association of Music Schools.

The goal? Preparing young talents even better for the entrance exams at music academies! The state of Baden-Württemberg also supports the certified music schools with grants to secure the musical future of the region.
