Polen, Land - An exciting cinema event is imminent! The highly awaited film "A Real Pain", a brilliant mix of drama and comedy, will soon come to German cinemas. Under the direction of Jesse Eisenberg, known from "Zombieland" and "The Social Network", the film will celebrate its premiere in Germany on January 16, 2025. The trailer is already causing excitement and makes film fans listen!

"A Real Pain" is not only Eisenberg's second directorial work, but also a real star contingent! Kieran Culkin, who is known from the success series "Succession", plays next to him. The talented Jennifer Gray from "Dirty Dancing" and wants to Sharpe from "The White Lotus" complete the ensemble. The film celebrated its world premiere on January 20, 2024 at the renowned Sundance Film Festival and has since won numerous awards on five continents, including appearances in Cologne and Mannheim-Heidelberg. The film started in the USA on November 1st and inspired the audience!

The gripping plot

The story revolves around the unequal cousins David (Eisenberg) and Benji (Culkin), who were inseparable as children, but have diverge in adult life. After the death of their grandmother, they decide to take a trip to Poland to explore their roots. There they meet the dark history of their family and have to deal with their Polish-Jewish origin. But old conflicts open again during the trip and there are heated clashes with the tour group. Will you survive the trip together or will this trip change your relationship forever?
