Nathalie Armbruster: With full steam for victory in the Ramsau!
Freudenstadt, Deutschland - The Nordic combined Nathalie Armbruster from Freudenstadt is showing impressive performances this season. After she was involved in an exciting medal battle at the first compact competition in Ramsau am Dachstein and finished sixth, she lacks a blink of less than ten seconds to the podium. Armbruster spoke of an extremely exhausting race in ZDF: "It was difficult, I rarely had a race in my career where I was so puzzling," said the talented 18-year-old. In the individual competition she came to fourth place on Friday, her teammate Jenny Nowak followed in ninth.
Before the upcoming competition in the compact race, which takes place on Saturday, Armbruster will benefit from excellent training in Norway. There the German team completed intensive units on the prepared ski jump, as crossbowers emphasized: "We also made a few jumps from the big one and there are also a few more air meters collected than on the little one." This targeted preparation could turn out to be a key to even better results. Concentrated action is announced on Saturday: After the jump at 9:00 a.m., the run follows at 3:30 p.m., and Armbruster has great expectations: "I'm looking forward to the compact race. I think that will be a really cool competition again," she said optimistically.
superior Norwegians and exciting challenges
At the top of the competition, the Norwegians, led by Ida Marie Hagen, currently dominate, who has made an impressive season in the World Cup. Nevertheless, the German athletes, including crossbowers, have again given chances for the front places, especially in the Ramsau, an area that in the past gave happy results (3rd, 3, 4 and 6). The national coach Eric Frenzel puts great hopes in their achievements, especially since the men of the German team are also determined to play in front. They are optimistic about the upcoming competitions, cheered on by Armbruster's strong training and their enthusiasm for leaving the exams behind in order to be able to compete in the World Cup.
