"I have bitten my teeth on a number of property owners," Palmer admits. Despite the closure of many vacant lots in the university town, there are still around 300 undeveloped land that urgently need to be used for new living space. This tax could be the key to secure the scarce good living space in Tübingen and to make the city more livable for its citizens.
