actions for the stone
Recently, an important step was taken during a campaign with the Nature Conservation Association Mötzingen-Gauffelden: 40 breeding tubes were installed throughout the district! These measures are crucial, because the stone owl needs a wide range of food that can be found in the diverse orchards. Mice, insects and worms are the main source of food, while old trees offer ideal breeding grounds. But the decline in orchards endangers the owl acute - an alarm sign for nature lovers!
The top goal of the "Steinge Cauz species protection concept" initiative is the networking of all actors and the improvement of habitats. Events should also further raise awareness of the stone owl. Interested parties can be found on the homepage www.levbb.de a project flyer with further information on measures and contact persons. The stone owl needs our help - we tackle it!
