Focus on mothers: Reading on equality and politics in Meersburg

On Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 10 a.m., the Vineum Bodensee in Meersburg will be the setting for a gripping reading with the author Sarah Zöllner! Together with her co-author Aura-Shirin Riedel, she wrote the startling book "Mothers. Power. Politics", which illuminates the pressing topics of equality and the role of mothers in politics. The event not only promises exciting insights, but also a lively discussion about family -friendly politics!

In their book, customs officers and Riedel reveal how often mothers are ignored in political decision -making processes. They ask for a rethink and show how important it is to bring mothers' perspectives into the political agenda. The authors also discuss the challenges that single parents have to cope with and sketch how framework conditions can be created that promote a healthy family life. The audience is invited to actively participate in the discussion and to develop ideas that could improve the compatibility of family and work.
