Coach resignation at SGM Mettenberg/Rissegg: Surprise after Klapsche!
A dramatic change in football: Manuel Ringeis surprisingly explained his resignation as a coach of the SGM Mettenberg/Rissegg, just a week after the painful 1: 8 defeat against SGM Laupertshausen/Maselheim. "The resignation was a spontaneous decision. I had the feeling that I was no longer the right one on the post," said Ringeis, who continues to keep in touch with the team and could possibly return after a break. His decision was completely unexpected for the sporting management, consisting of Florian Math and Gregor Prusko. "We would have liked to continue with him," admits Math, while the team is in the current season with only 9 points in the table cellar.
new trainer on board
Last Sunday, Simon Beck, the previous assistant coach, took over the team together with the injured Max von Tomkewitsch. "That was also our desired solution," explains Math. Beck and Tomkewitsch initially committed themselves until the winter break, but long -term cooperation could be in prospect if the chemistry is right. "The team is now challenged," emphasizes Beck, who sees an increase in the game against Dürmentingen and relies on a fighting spirit. "We will now work hard in training, but we have to continue to have fun," he adds.
The pressure is high, because the next game against the SGM Alberweiler/Aßmannshardt is imminent. The kick -off is on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. "This will be a difficult game. There are three points in the relegation battle," says Beck. The goal until the winter break is at least six more points to avert the impending descent. The situation is tense and all the eyes are aimed at the SGM Mettenberg/Rissegg - can the new trainer Beck tear around?
