From December 28th to 30th, 2024, the district youth championships took place in Biberach, in which talented young chess players from the region competed against each other. The championships included all age groups from U18 to U8 and attracted numerous participants.
The representatives of the chess fans Ravensburg included Aaron Bischoff in the U12, as well as Pascal Michelberger and Ben Merck in the U18. Anton Alber from the chess friends Wetzisreute was also represented in the U18. In the highest age group, places 1 to 3 separated between Anton Alber, Pascal Michelberger and Ben Merck, which thus secured the top positions in the U18. Aaron Bischoff was able to secure third place in the U12.

The best players in the circles of Upper Swabia South and North competed against each other as part of the district youth championships. Aaron Bischoff qualified for the upcoming Württemberg championship. After he initially had difficulties, he increased in the course of the tournament and secured a place on the podium.
Further information on similar competitions provide the results of the district youth championships (KJEM) 2024, which took place on October 5, 2024 in the Bodensee-Gymnasium. 39 young shaft talents competed in the age groups U8 to U18. These championships served as a qualification for the Upper Swabian district youth championships from December 28th to 30th, 2024.
in the U18, Anton Alber were the winner with 5 out of 6 points, followed by Pascal Michelberger in second place and Ben Merck in third place. Aaron Bischoff took third place in the U12 at 6.5 out of 7 points, which illustrates his remarkable performance.
The event initially suffered from technical difficulties, which led to a slight delay. Nevertheless, the young players showed an impressive performance on the chess board. Thomas Jäckel and Xaver Fichtl took over the tournament management, while Günter Scherbaum and Mike Montgomery acted as referees. Despite a decline in the number of participants compared to the previous year, the tournament was well organized and offered valuable competitive experiences for everyone involved.
