Leutkirch triumphs: Children's athletics final inspires with a cup division!

In the picturesque stadium in Leutkirch, the highly expected finale of children's athletics took place on the first Sunday in October. In wonderful autumn weather, 226 young athletes from the districts of Sigmaringen, Biberach, Friedrichshafen and Ravensburg competed against each other. In a total of three age groups, U8, U10 and U12, the best two teams of each district had qualified for this decision. The TSG Leutkirch was represented in all three categories and not only fought for medals, but also for a newly donated challenge cup for the winners.

A highlight of the day was the competition of the U8, in which the children of TSG Leutkirch were able to claim the championship title. They competed in various disciplines, including the obstacle sprint relay and the ball throw. It became particularly exciting in the final biathlon relay. Here the Leutkirch U8 managed to struggle to first place after a strong appearance, which led to a tie with the TV Weingarten. With great applause from the audience, the challenge cup was shared by the two victorious teams.

The U10 of the TSG Leutkirch started with high expectations after taking first place in the district league. Unfortunately, there were a few losses of points at the beginning of the obstacle sprint season, but the Leutkirchers were able to play out their strengths in the ball throw and high-wort jump. The biathlon relay, which requires a combination of perseverance and target throwing, was won confidently, which brought the team to third place in the overall classification.

for the U12, in cooperation with SV Diepoldshofen, it went into the competition. Here, too, the starting point was exciting, because as a third -placed team in the district league, they had the privilege of starting directly in the final without prior excretion competitions. The athletes bravely fell in the disciplines such as shock vault, 50-meter hurdle run, and ball throw. Ultimately, they reached the respectable sixth place among a total of nine participating teams.

This event not only showed the talents of young athletes, but also how much joy and enthusiasm competitive sport can bring in the community. With its successful appearance in the U8, TSG Leutkirch was able to set an example and gain experience that they will take into future competitions. Many thanks to the organizers and the audience, who cheerfully cheered on the children and thus contributed to a great atmosphere. The unforgettable moments of this competition will surely motivate both the children and their trainers to continue to do their best.
